About the role

JOB TITLE Principal Member of Technical Staff JOB LOCATION 3400 W. Plano Parkway, Plano, TX 75075 DUTIES Conduct design, development and certification work in the areas of new Broadband and Transport products/technologies, systems/platform architecture, hardware/software development engineering, technical security and QA Design/Certification. Serve as a subject matter expert during the continuous integration/continuous deployment cycle in an architectural environment focused on complex design, engineering and development.

Serve as SME with deep technical knowledge in Broadband technologies such as PON (Passive Optical Networks) and related fiber and copper access technologies. Utilizing TCP/IP network architecture for design, engineering, and testing. Troubleshooting in Carrier grade networks.

Broadband access technologies such as GPON, E-PON, NGPON2, XGS-PON and evolving Passive Optical Networking (PON) technology standards.

REQUIREMENTS

Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing TCP/IP network architecture for design, engineering, and testing; troubleshooting in Carrier grade networks; and Broadband access technologies such as GPON, E-PON, NG-PON2, XGS-PON and evolving Passive Optical Networking (PON) technology standards.
