About the Role
- As the Software A rchitect Sr
- Lead , you will define and drive the future of AI and automation for the FIS employee digital experience. In this highly visible role, you will lead AI-focused architecture initiatives and design scalable software solutions that set standards for modularity, performance, and maintainability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful technical strategies that enhance how employees interact with critical enterprise systems and services. What You Will Be Doing
- Lead enterprise architecture design for AI and automation solutions that power employee digital experiences
- Evaluate and recommend architectural approaches for integrating advanced AI/ML models and automation frameworks
- Define and guide the implementation of high-level, non-functional requirements to optimize reliability, performance, and usability
- Establish and enforce organizational standards for software quality, compatibility, scalability, and maintainability
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure seamless delivery of innovative employee-facing technology Oversee critical design decisions and architectural reviews, balancing technical trade-offs with business objectives
- Identify architectural risks and propose mitigation strategies, particularly in complex AI-driven and automated workflows
- Mentor teams in architectural best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
- Ensure robust cloud-native solution design, including planning, management, and support of AI-powered platforms What You Will Need Advanced expertise in enterprise software architecture and large-scale solution design
- Proven experience delivering AI and automation initiatives at significant scale Deep knowledge of microservices, cloud-native architectures, and AI/ML integration
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders Demonstrated ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs and recommend best-fit solutions
- Experience defining and enforcing architecture standards and quality benchmarks
- Knowledge of software security, compliance, and risk management practices Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent skills-based experience Added Bonus If You Have
- Experience with employee-facing digital platforms or HR technology
