Job Description

  • Key Responsibilities Execute borescope inspections as assigned; validate criteria, record measurements, and coordinate corrective actions.; may hold CRS (Certificate of Release to Service) privileges.
  • Responsible for performing and documenting inspections per applicable technical references, approved technical references, Repair Station Manuals, and GE policies. Review and interpret test and inspection data to detect abnormalities, assess engine health, and recommend next steps. Document all work performed and book time using the site’s ERP software (SAP).
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including EHS, quality, engineering, planning, and materials to support operational initiatives, identify root cause corrective action, and support constant improvement site-wide. Assist with hands-on engine testing and troubleshooting to identify issues, validate engine condition, and support critical maintenance decisions.
  • Contribute to all aspects of the engine testing, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting procedures in accordance with Standard
  • Work, appropriate technical references, Repair Station Manuals, and GE policies and procedures.
  • Support engine test execution and resolve any testing issues by driving root cause corrective action and problem-solving efforts following the appropriate problem-solving tool, Repair Station Manuals, and GE Policies & Procedures. Perform supplementary shop and housekeeping duties as a part of the site’s 5S and Total Proactive Maintenance initiatives. Produce accurate, detailed maintenance and inspection records that support quality standards, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment while maintaining high standards of workmanship, precision, and accountability. Help maintain inspection equipment, tooling, and workspaces to support efficient and compliant operations.
  • Minimum high school diploma / GED with 4+ years of hands-on work experience with advanced inspection and engine test equipment. 1+ years of leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to guide teams and drive execution. FAA Powerplant License required. Desired Characteristics Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience with commercial high-bypass turbofan engine testing, including: engine prep and de-prep engine testing in a test cell or on-wing line maintenance engine changes LRU removal and installation troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft engine systems, components, and maintenance practices. Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical manuals, blueprints, and inspection criteria with confidence.
  • Experience identifying defects, assessing engine condition, and using inspection tools and methods to support accurate evaluations.
  • Hands-on experience supporting engine test cell operations.
  • Familiarity with turbine engine troubleshooting and performance analysis.
  • Experience serving as a Test Throttle Operator.
  • Experience serving as an Engine Test Site Operator.
  • Experience operating support equipment such as fork trucks, overhead cranes, transporters, and tugs. Working knowledge of SAP, Oasis, or similar ERP systems. Ability to thrive both independently and in a cross-functional team environment.
