Job Description

Summary We are looking for a talented engineer to join our mechanical analysis team that will be focused on new product development for static structures and external tubes and brackets. The candidate must apply strong FEA skills and engineering judgement toward solving component integration across multiple systems on military engineering applications.

Roles and Responsibilities Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical and/or electrical engineering for all products Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.

In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area. Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance.

Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college Minimum of 3 years of experience in design engineering Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship. Desired Characteristics ANSYS Workbench Pre and Post Processing Skills HyperWorks, and other Finite Element Software Tools 2D FEA experience Established project management skills. This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
