Job Description

Summary GE Aerospace is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join our Rotating Parts Lab in Evendale, OH.

This is a hands-on, shop-floor-focused role supporting the manufacturing of complex rotating parts with a focus on turning and milling. In this position, you will own a defined portion of project work and be directly involved in fixture design, process layout, machine programming, and hardware execution, while developing and implementing manufacturing solutions that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical manufacturing environment, enjoys solving problems close to the hardware, and can work both collaboratively and independently to drive results.

Job Description

  • Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead manufacturing engineering efforts for   complex rotating hardware   with a focus on   milling and turning Own a defined portion of project work, driving execution from planning through hardware delivery
  • Develop, optimize, and implement manufacturing processes to improve   safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC)
  • Design and refine   fixtures, tooling, and process layouts   to support safe, repeatable, high-quality machining
  • Create, run, and troubleshoot   machine programs   and support hands-on shop-floor execution
  • Work directly with hardware in a   lab and manufacturing environment, partnering with operators, machinists, quality, and engineering teams Solve technical manufacturing issues and drive process improvements using sound engineering judgment
  • Provide informal guidance to less experienced team members and contribute to team execution

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years manufacturing engineering experience) Minimum of 3 years manufacturing engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with   complex rotating parts Aerospace and/or   power generation   manufacturing experience
  • Experience with   complex milling and turning of aerospace materials
  • Hands-on experience with   fixture design, tooling, and process development
  • Experience   running and programming machines
  • Experience machining   titanium, nickel-based alloys, and other exotic materials NX CAD/CAM experience Desired Characteristics
