- Lab Science Saves Lives Clinical Laboratory Technologists Make It Possible Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Blood Bank - Full Time - Nights NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital is the singular source of care for the 750,000 New Yorkers who live and work south of 14th Street. Situated at the crossroads of the world’s financial epicenter and several diverse and historic communities, we provide world-class care with a patient-inspired community touch. Join a close-knit team of Blood Bank Technologists in our transfusion medicine department in providing care for our patients. Here, you will gain more experience with analysis not being performed anywhere else, including rare opportunities with antibody identification and immunohematology problems. Perform laboratory procedures in preparing in dispensing blood and blood products as ordered by physicians. Be at the forefront of maintaining inventory blood and blood products for our patients in accordance with departmental guidelines. This is a full-time Night shift position, working 12:00am - 8:00am, with rotating weekends and holidays. - Preferred Criteria ASCP certification At least one year Blood Bank experience Required Criteria A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent experience) New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department NEW HIRES PENDING A CLINICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST LICENSE Must obtain the License within 6 months of hire Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
