Full-time, permanent (40 hours/week)
Position Location
- This is a remote position based Roanoke, Virginia. The role includes travel of up to approximately 3 to 4 days per week in Halifax, Roanoke, Southwest Virginia, and the surrounding area . Use of personal vehicle required. E ligible for reimbursement for travel and lodging. Standard Working Hours 8 AM to 5 PM EST, M-F; Will include occasional weekends/as needed. Overview The Community Outreach Coordinator is a community development and member outreach role, responsible for a geographic area generating millions of dollars in annual revenue. Creates marketplace opportunities to showcase Sentara Family Care's programs and services for Medicaid beneficiaries, advocates, and community leaders. Initiates and develops community activities that drive membership growth or retention. Initiates grass-roots stakeholder development in support of SFC goals. Provides on-site management of events. Demonstrates proficiency in understanding, analyzing, and articulating complex issues in the Medicaid program or in the community, including emerging health care issues. Use of personal vehicle required. Education BLD – Bachelor's Level Degree REQUIRED Certification/Licensure None required
